Technology in Language E-ducation – NEW COURSE

“E-Learning” is a misnomer – it’s mostly just “E-Teaching.” For any teaching to reliably and consistently produce the results we want, we still have a lot to learn about learning. Now, a second generation of applications, known as Web 2.0, is here. Just like any new tool, these Web 2.0 applications pose a new challenge, especially to teachers.
This 12-hour course is focused on the understanding and practical application of the new technologies, personal learning environments and social software known as Web 2.0 such as blogs, collaborative wikis, shared bookmarking, RSS and many more to create new cultures of learning and teaching at schools. It should be a comfortable place for teachers, educators, trainers and consultants at any level of familiarity with technology and Web 2.0 tools.

Train The Trainer

This course is designed for experienced teachers who wish to move into the area of teacher training. It is particularly suitable for heads of department, senior teachers or experienced teachers who may be asked to contribute to in-service teacher development in their institutions. In fact anyone who is expected to deliver seminars or workshops or observe teachers will find this course useful.
Participants must have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience, but no previous experience of teacher training is necessary.
